How quickly can I learn with the intensive German language training?
We are often asked: How quickly can I learn German, especially if I choose a German intensive course? Is it realistically possible to complete the first two levels A1 and A2 German in two months? Is one month of B2 German intensive course sufficient to prepare me for the B2 exam?
Will I really learn to speak B1 German fluently in one month of intensive study?

What is the advantage for me in learning German intensively?
The answer is: yes, it is possible if you choose the right method.
First of all, you should consider what your prerequisites are. Have you perhaps already had a few years of German lessons in school and therefore have passive knowledge that you just need to activate? Have you been living in Germany or Austria for a while and are surrounded by the German language daily?
Do you speak a language that is very closely related to German, such as Dutch, Afrikaans, Norwegian, or English? Do you already speak other foreign languages and are experienced in learning a new language? All of this will help you make quick progress in learning German.

What do I learn in intensive German lessons?
In the intensive course, it is important to focus on the right learning materials. We recommend about 40% speaking, 20% grammar, 15% reading, 15% listening practice, and 10% writing.
Speaking and practical application in everyday life should always be at the center of German intensive lessons. Grammar is not unimportant, but it is essential to focus on grammatical elements that are needed in daily language use (e.g., present tense, perfect tense, accusative, and dative) and not to invest too much time in elements that primarily occur in written language (e.g., simple past, past perfect, passive, genitive).

"This course was very good for me, and I learned many practical things. There is little pressure on the students, but everyone learns well because the teaching method is effective."
How do I best organize my time for the German language intensive Workshops?
For the intensive German language training sessions, it is, of course, necessary to bring enough time. In addition to the hours with the teacher in school (with us, 12 teaching units per week), you should plan for at least one to two hours of self-study on our learning platform and with homework.
Furthermore, you should apply what you have learned immediately in practice - so go out and practice. With friends, neighbors, colleagues, the nice waiter in the bar, or the friendly saleswoman in the store.
How can I practice German additionally?
You should definitely make an effort to read and listen to as much German as possible. You can watch your favorite series in German, watch YouTube videos on your favorite topics in German, listen to German music, read free newspapers in the subway, or read a magazine. It is best to do this regularly, for example, half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening. Or simply use the time when you are on the subway and watch a video or read a text.
How quickly can I complete a level in the intensive German language education program?
Basically, you can complete an entire level in one month with a German intensive course at our school, such as A1 or A2. That means 48 teaching units in school and about 48 teaching units of self-study.
If you have no prior knowledge at all, we would recommend continuing with the standard course after one or two months of intensive German language learning modules or taking a break to review and practice what you have learned so far.
