German language class for beginners A1

Duration of a German language study program

How long does a German course last?

The duration of your German language education program depends on the level you start from and the level you want to achieve. A German course at our language school can last from 4 weeks to 8 months.

Standard and Intensive German learning classes

The individual courses each last 4 weeks.
There are two options:
a) a standard course: The standard German course covers half a level (e.g., A1.1). In this course, you have 3 times 90 minutes of lessons at the school. Additionally, about 5-10 hours on our learning platform (depending on your learning pace).
b) an intensive course: The intensive course at our school covers a full level (e.g., A1.1 + A1.2). In this course, you have 6 times 90 minutes of lessons at the school. Additionally, about 10-20 hours on our learning platform. This depends on your learning pace.

About 80 percent of all our course participants reach the desired level in the scheduled time. In 4 weeks, you can complete either half a level (e.g., A2.1) as a standard course or a full level (A2.1 + A2.2) as an intensive course at our school. So, in 6 months, you can complete levels A1 to B1 or A2 to B2 as a standard course, or in four months A1 - B2 as a semi-intensive course (two months intensive and two months standard).

Faster Progress in Learning German

The courses at our school are designed to help you make fast progress. We achieve this through a smart selection of lesson topics, effective teaching methods, and small groups. However, a prerequisite for quick learning success is that you independently complete the online exercises we offer and interact intensively with the German language alongside the lessons. You should immediately try out and practice everything you've learned with people who speak German, watch videos and films in German, read magazines or small books in German, etc.
